is a non profit society dedicated to the promotion of medieval studies.
Our aim is to educate the general public and support people who wish to
study more deeply the history and society of the middle ages. Our focus
is the period of the Viking invasions of the British Isles, in particular
the tenth and eleventh centuries, but the personal interests of our members
range from Ancient Celts to the English Civil War. ur
club is nearly three years old and boasts a healthy membership. The club
is based in Maitland which is in the Hunter Valley area, north of Sydney,
NSW Australia. Our membership is drawn from the Maitand area but members
come from as far as Newcastle, Kurri and Gresford.

We are available to liven up your local fair or private function. If you
are interested in learning (or teaching us) an ancient skill, studying
medieval history, feel how it was like to be a Viking warrior or even raising
a mug at a Dark Age feast, come and join our club. You will be able to
meet some of us at our combat training days.
